The Danish quintet Kúlu engages in high-tension and dramatic rock music with a crisp soundscape that oozes with authority and conviction. We are dealing with five experienced gentlemen on the Danish music scene who know exactly what they want when they create and unfold a compelling, dramatic universe with infectious textures and nuances, which encourage the listener to return only to to discover and find new meaning in both the music and lyrics.

On the new single 'I'm Right Here' Kúlu shows their superb balance between the porous and the voluminous. The song reveals itself through delicate acoustic fingerpicking and drowsy dragging drums, as if we were hiding in a pastoral English singer-songwriter landscape and at the same time on the rugged open range of the American desert rock. But then suddenly the soundscape rises and the instruments sound like monumental figures.

'The song is a tribute to my wife. We have just had twins and throughout her pregnancy she had many dreams and nightmares. Like she was reading incredibly much. Therefore, the lyrics also include an homage to some of the female bad-ass writers such as Virginia Woolf, Svetlana Aleksijevich and Olga Ravn.” says guitarist and songwriter Daniel Buchwald.
